하늘로서 나는 큰 소리
A roaring voice from heaven is
천지를 뒤흔들며 이 땅을 향하네
Shaking earth and heading for us
너는 내 사랑하는 아들이라

내가 너를 기뻐하노라
With you I'm well pleased
저가 큰 자가 되고
He'll be great
지극히 높으신 이의 아들이 되리라

Filling the hungry with good things
우리를 긍휼히 여겨 기억하시는 이
Also his mercy extends to us
어둠과 사망의 그늘에 앉은 자에게 비취고
To shine on those living in darkness and in the shade of death
우리의 발을 평강의 길로 인도하시며
To guide our feet into the path of peace
온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식으로 오신 이
Good news of great joy that will be for all the people

가시 면류관 타고 흘러내리는 땀방울

붉은 십자가 사랑 남기고 하늘로 홀연히 떠나셨네

To preach good news to the poor
포로된 자에게 자유를, 눈 먼 자에게 다시 보게 하며
To proclaim freedom for the prisoner and recovery of sight for the blind
눌린 자를 자유케 하시네
To release the oppressed
두려워 말라 놀라지 말라
Don't be afraid and don't be dismayed
상한 갈대도 꺾지 아니 하고 꺼져가는 심지도 끄지 아니 하며
Abruised reed he'll not break, and a smoldering wick he'll not snuff out
머리털까지도 다 세신 바 되었나니
And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered
아브라함에게 하셨던 약속의 말씀이
The oath he swore to our father Abraham
세세토록 영원하리라
Will be continued generation to generation
허리에 띠를 띠고 등불을 켜고 깨어 있으라
Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning
볼지어다
And surely
주님이 세상 끝날까지 우리와 함께 하리라
