하나님이 두 큰 광명체를 만드사 큰 광명체로 낮을 주관하게 하시고 작은 광명체로 밤을 주관하게 하시며 또 별들을 만드시고 하나님이 그것들을 하늘의 궁창에 두어 땅을 비추게 하시며 낮과 밤을 주관하게 하시고 빛과 어둠을 나뉘게 하시니 하나님이 보시기에 좋았더라. (창세기 1:16-18)
3일 아침(낮)입니다.
해는 한 종류에 한 모습으로 일관되지만 달은 한 종류에 여러 모습(초승달, 반달, 보름달)을 지니고 별은 여러 종류에 여러 모습을 간직했습니다. 낮을 주관하는 광명체인 해와 밤을 주관하는 광명체인 달과 별들은 정해진 궁창의 각 구역에서 제 할 일을 다하고 그런 모습에 창조주 하나님은 만족하십니다. 천지만물의 은덕을 입고 사는 나의 작은 삶이 그들에게 누가 되지 않고 하나님께 근심거리를 안겨드리지 않도록 하루의 첫 시간을 열려 합니다. 우주의 한쪽에 태양계를 조성하시고 광명체를 운행시키듯 하나님은 나를 그렇게 세상에 존재케 하셨습니다. 내 존재와 삶이 창조주 하나님의 자부심이 되도록 저의 자리를 굳게 지키겠습니다.
“오, 주님! 내 주님! 살아계신 예수님! 이 종을 불쌍히 여겨 주시옵소서! 오늘도 주님은 제 삶과 사역에 큰 광명이십니다. 그 빛을 받아 주변 사람들에게 작은 광명으로 그 빛을 남김없이 골고루 뿌리게 하옵소서! 은혜 안에서 궁창 위의 삶을 살게 하셨으니 궁창 아래에 거하는 이들에게 빚진 마음으로 섬김의 삶을 살게 하옵소서! 빛을 잃어버린 광명체들의 초라한 몰골이 두렵습니다. 내 삶이 어둠의 변두리를 배회하다 블랙홀에 빨려들지 않게 하옵소서! 우주의 중심을 관통하는 영원한 빛으로 이 하루도 제 삶을 덮어주옵소서!”
3. Life as a luminous body above the firmament
God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:16-18)
It's morning (daytime) on Day 3.
The sun is consistent in one kind of appearance, but the moon has many kinds of appearances (New Moon, Half Moon, Full Moon), and the stars have many kinds of appearances. The sun, the ruler of the day, and the moon and stars, the rulers of the night, do their work in their respective parts of the firmament, and God the Creator is satisfied. I open the first hour of my day so that my little life, clothed in the virtues of the heavens and the earth, may not become a liability to them and cause God any trouble. Just as God created the solar system in one corner of the universe and put light into motion, so He has placed me in the world. I will stand firm in my place so that my existence and life may be the pride of my Creator.
"Oh, Lord, my Lord, the living Jesus, have mercy on this servant! You are still the great light of my life and ministry today; let me take that light and scatter it evenly as a little light to those around me; and since by grace you have enabled me to live a life above the firmament, let me live a life of service out of a sense of debt to those who dwell below! I fear the shabby hovels of those who have lost their light. Lest my life wander the fringes of darkness and be sucked into a black hole! Cover my life, even this one day, with the eternal light that penetrates the center of the universe."
3. 여호와의 밤이 되는 삶
사백삼십 년이 끝나는 그 날에 여호와의 군대가 다 애굽 땅에서 나왔은즉 이 밤은 그들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내심으로 말미암아 여호와 앞에 지킬 것이니 이는 여호와의 밤이라. 이스라엘 자손이 다 대대로 지킬 것이니라. (출애굽기 12:41-42)
3일 저녁(밤)입니다.
죽음과 저주의 땅에서 벗어난 그날이 거룩한 백성에게는 새로운 해와 달의 시작이 됩니다. 복역의 때가 끝나는 그해, 그달, 그날에 하나님이 강권적으로 개입하자 굴욕의 역사는 마치고 애굽의 쇠사슬도 끊어졌습니다. 이 밤은 그냥 밤이 아니라 “여호와의 밤”입니다. 하나님께 속한 밤이라는 뜻입니다. 이 밤만이 아니라 내가 이 땅에서 맞이할 무수한 밤들이 모두 “여호와의 밤”으로 기억되길 소원합니다. 내게 속한 밤이면 내 영혼은 이 밤도 애굽의 기운에 짓눌려 힘들게 보낼지 모릅니다.
“주님! 당연히 이 밤은 철저히 주님께 속했습니다. 오늘 낮도 주님께 속한 것처럼 순종의 걸음을 걸으며 동행을 이어갔습니다. 이 밤도 주님의 손길에 저의 영혼과 육신을 고스란히 맡깁니다. 재우시면 잘 것이고 깨우시면 깨어 있겠습니다. 자나 깨나 주님의 처분을 기다림이 저는 편안합니다. 숙면과 경성 모두 주님이 허락하신 바이니 제가 경험하는 모든 시간은 주님의 것입니다.”
3. Life becoming the night of Jehovah
At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD's divisions left Egypt. Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come. (Exodus 12:41-42)
It's evening (night) on Day 3.
That day of deliverance from the land of death and curse marks the beginning of a new year and month for the holy people. In that year, month, and day, when the time of servitude was over, God intervened in a mighty way, ending the history of humiliation and breaking the chains of Egypt. This night is not just any night, it is "the night of the LORD." May this night, as well as the countless nights I will face on this earth, be remembered as "the night of the Lord." If it belongs to me, my soul may struggle through this night as well, weighed down by the spirit of Egypt.
"My Lord! Of course, this night belonged thoroughly to the Lord. Today, as if I belonged to the Lord, I continued to walk with the steps of obedience. Tonight too, I entrust my soul and body to the hands of the Lord. If you put me to sleep, I will sleep, if you wake me, I will stay awake. Sleeping or waking, I am comfortable waiting for the Lord's disposition. Both sound sleep and watchfulness are permitted by you, so all the time I experience belongs to the Lord."
