주님, 어찌하여 가만히 계시나요?

주님, 어찌하여 멀리서 보고만 계시나요?

고통 속에 허덕이는 자들이 보이지 않으시나요?

주님, 못된 것들이 주님을 비웃습니다.

주님, 교만한 자들이 제 배만 채웁니다.

굶주린 배를 움켜쥐고 부르짖는 아우성 들리지 않나요?

주님, 울궈먹을까 함정을 파놓은 저 악인들,

주님, 그 함정에 저들이 빠지게 하소서,

주님, 악독이 가득찬 그들의 입을 봉하소서,

호화판에 빠져 히우적거리는 저 뻔뻔스런 자들,

하나님을 외면하고, 고통의 신음소리에 귀를 막는

저 불의한 자, 저 강포한 자들에게 정의 주로 오소서,

저 그늘진 자들, 저 쓰러진 자들에게 긍휼의 주로 오소서,

주님, 2024년 새해에는 정의, 사랑, 평화의 햇살을 내리소서,

온 우주에 가득, 온 심령에 가득가득 내리게 하소서, 아멘

Lord, why do you stand still?

Lord, why do you watch from afar?

Can't you see those who are in pain?

Lord, the mean ones laugh at you.

Lord, the proud fill their own bellies.

Can't you hear their hungry bellies crying out?

Lord, those wicked who have dug a trap for me to weep in,

Lord, let them fall into that trap,

Lord, seal their mouths full of venom,

Those shameless ones, who wallow in their pomp,

who turn away from God, who close their ears to the groans of pain.

Come, Lord of Justice, to the unrighteous, to the strong-armed,

Come Lord of compassion to the shady ones, to the fallen ones,

Lord, in this new year of 2024, let the sunshine of justice, love, and peace shine,

full upon the whole universe, full upon every heart, Amen(2023.12.28.)
